Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a diagnostic term describing a spectrum of effects to an individual who was prenatally exposed to alcohol.

Prevention

FASD is a preventable birth defect. The brain of an unborn baby develops throughout the entire pregnancy making them vulnerable to damage from alcohol exposure at any time.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis involves a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach that includes a history, physical examination, and neurodevelopmental assessment.
